Laproscopic Greater Curve Plication (LGCP)

Visit us at our new website

Gastric Plication, also known as Laparoscopic Greater Curve Plication (LGCP) is currently an investigational procedure that is being performed on a select basis by some surgeons. It involves folding the greater curve of the stomach in upon itself several times thereby occupying the majority of the volume of the stomach with the stomach itself, in essence creating a sleeve of stomach through which food will pass. There fore it does not involve any cutting or removal of the stomach.

Since these procedures are currently considered investigational it should be performed as part of an investigational protocol by qualified surgeons. We are performing these procedures for qualified patients on a select basis.

Unfortunately insurance is not covering these procedures and can only be done on a self pay basis.  Please see the self pay section of our site under the weight loss tab.
